Kriya yoga

It detoxifies the body and establishes a healing process

Himalayan Kriya Yoga

Himalayan Kriya Yoga is a closely guarded method that is passed from master to select disciples. This is a sacred science of alignment for purification at all levels to attain blissful union within through balance of the physical, mental, emotional and casual bodies.

Kriyas are specific exercises that detoxify the body, using special breaths, mudras (hand gestures), mantras and body positions. These are ancient techniques passed from teacher to student. I am lucky to have met Himalayan Kriya Yoga facilitator Jade Read-Lucas, who is a direct disciple of Yogic Dr. Pradeep Ullal, who founded the Kevala Foundation in India, where this type of yoga is taught.

I include elements of kriya yoga in my hatha yoga lessons. These are simple techniques that anyone can easily help themselve with pain or fatigue during the day. When we go into the depths of this old technique, the various blocks that we have accumulated during our lives, or the lives of the past, are being removed.
